visit to Wildenest (jungle resort)

On 27 July 2019 we were watching TV, horrified with  news of heavy rains and mahalaxmi train passengers rescued by helicopter and boats...
We had done booking to stay at wildernest(jungle resort) some 410 km away from Pune...

is it an insane decision to go to jungle in this heavy rains n floods ??

Logical mind was saying...drop the plan....cancel it ..just NOW.

And emotional mind was saying..Go,

review....if unsafe ...find nearby shelter / lodge or hotel and wait for normalcy n return home. ??!

Anyhow, we started from Pune on 28 July and reached Kolhapur by road.

In the night hearing continuous rains sound thinking howfar its safe  to go forest cottage in this rains...

We drove from Kolhapur to chorla ghat.
Kolhapur --> Belagavi (~110 km drive)
Belagavi --> Chorla ghat (~65km drive)

            Reached Wildernest.

Fascinated by staff military like uniform.

Sipping welcome drink.

swimming tank...no courage to enter in cold water !!

Strong wind and heavy lashing rains in forest.

Restaurant,prompt n helpful staff.

Second day:
After breakfast n tea, set out for
Jungle walk....two hours

This veiw is worth jungle walk.

5400 steps when returned in my  watch.
Returned to room had hot water bath (thanks wildernest staff management for providing hot water).

Checked out at 12:10 noon.
A jeep service dropped from reception to roadside 

Headed back to Kolhapur
It was a wonderful jungle stay experience at Wildernest !!
